1. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit it. It is used to remember information between pages: whether you are signed in, your display preferences or the choice you made about cookies themselves.

They may be first-party (those set by APEX Flow) or third-party (those set by integrated external services).

APEX Flow does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not share your browsing with advertising networks.

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary — do not require consent

Without them the service cannot work: they keep you signed in, remember your choice about cookies and let the application know how to display itself.

CookiePurposeDuration
wordpress_logged_in_*Keep you signed in.Session / 14 days
wp-settings-*Remember your account's display preferences.1 year
PHPSESSIDTechnical server session identifier.Session
apex_cookies_consentStore your choice about cookies.12 months

2.2 Functionality

They remember your decisions so that you are not asked again on every visit.

CookiePurposeDuration
apex_appDetect that you are using the installed application rather than the browser, in order to adapt what is displayed.12 months
apex_launch_homeRemember that you have already chosen how to sign in, so the welcome screen is not shown to you again.90 days
apex_modoRemember the view of the service you were on.90 days
apex_idiomaRemember the language you chose.12 months
apex_idioma_invRemember that you closed the invitation to switch languages, so it is not shown again.12 months

In addition to cookies, the site uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage) to remember functional and interface preferences, such as the guided tour, the position of videos, the help panels or your choice about cookies. It is not used for advertising, and you can delete it by clearing the site’s data in your browser.

For example, the invitation to switch languages also stores apex_idioma and apex_idioma_inv in local storage for 12 months from your last visit, to remember your choice even if the browser deletes cookies sooner.

2.3 Analytics

We currently do not use analytics cookies or third-party statistics tools. To know in aggregate which countries and cities our visitors come from and which parts of the service and which videos are used, the website's pages count visits with our own tool, which does not create cookies: after a few seconds with one of those pages in view, your browser sends our server a request whose content includes no data about you —at most, a fixed marker, the same for everyone, that indicates the type of contact: visit, use, installation or playing a video (in that case, together with the number of the video and whether it was started or reached 75% or the end)— and stores in its session storage (sessionStorage) the marker apex_comunidad, with no identifier, so that the same visit is not counted twice while the tab stays open. When you start using APEX Flow from the browser (for example, at /start/ or /lab/), the tool stores in the same way the session marker apex_comunidad_uso. When you play a video, the tool stores in the same way the session marker apex_comunidad_vid, which contains only which videos have already been counted in that tab (the type —start, or 75% or end— and the video's number), with no identifier of yours, so that the same video is not counted twice while the tab stays open. If you arrive through a link of ours that indicates which social network or channel you come from (for example, one that ends in “?r=ig”), the tool stores in the same way the session marker apex_comunidad_r, which contains only the code of that network or channel, with no identifier of yours, so that what you use afterwards in that tab is also counted as coming from there. When you install APEX Flow on your device, or open it for the first time as an installed app, it stores in your browser's local storage (localStorage) the marker apex_comunidad_pwa, with no identifier, so that the same installation is not counted twice in that browser; unlike the previous ones, this marker is not deleted when you close the tab: it stays until you clear the site data in your browser. If you arrive with “?r=”, “utm_…” or “gclid” in the address, the tool stores in the same way the session marker apex_yara_origen, which contains only the campaign name and the path of the entry page, with no identifier of yours; if you are signed in and your account is new (within its first 6 hours of use on the website), those two items are sent once to our server to be noted in your account (Privacy Policy, section 2.17) and then the marker apex_yara_origen_ok is also stored, so they are not sent twice. None of the markers travels to our servers —except the network or channel code in apex_comunidad_r, which goes along with the counting request, and the content of apex_yara_origen, which is sent once if you are signed in and your account is new—, and the session ones are deleted by themselves when you close the tab. This count is made even if you choose “Necessary only” in the cookie notice and even if your browser sends the “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal. Since they carry nothing that identifies you, they are always counted (Privacy Policy, sections 2.12, 2.13 and 2.15). This tool does not run inside the APEX Flow apps. What we do with each visit, use, installation or video is explained in the Privacy Policy, sections 2.12, 2.13 and 2.15. If we ever introduce analytics cookies or third-party statistics tools, we will ask for your prior consent and this policy will be updated before they are activated.

3. Third-party cookies and services

Some external services necessary for operation may set their own cookies or receive your IP address when their resources are loaded. Each is governed by its own policy:

ServiceWhen it is involved
Payment gatewayOnly when subscribing or managing the subscription. Necessary to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.
Hosting and CDN providerOn every visit, to serve the website and protect it against attacks.
Web fontsWhen the website loads, to display the website's typeface.
DiscordOnly if you access the community from the service.
Video playersOnly when playing an embedded video, if there is one.

We do not control the cookies set by these third parties. You can consult and manage their policies on their own websites.

4. Storage in the applications

In addition to cookies, the mobile applications and the installable web application use local device storage to work offline and remember your preferences.

That information remains on your device, is not used for advertising purposes and is deleted when you uninstall the application or clear its data from the system settings.

5. Your consent

On your first visit you will see a notice where you can accept all cookies, reject those that are not necessary or configure your preference. Your choice is stored for 12 months; after that period you will be asked again.

Rejecting non-necessary cookies does not prevent you from using the service.

6. How to manage them

You can change your decision at any time:

  • By reopening the cookie panel with the button below.
  • By configuring your browser directly:
    • Google Chrome
    • Mozilla Firefox
    • Apple Safari
    • Microsoft Edge
  • In the applications, by clearing the app's data from your device settings.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the service from working properly, for example keeping you signed in.

7. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect technical or regulatory changes. The version in force is always the one published here, with its date of last update.

Cookies

We use necessary cookies for the site to work and an optional one to remember your preferences. We also count, without cookies and in aggregate, where the website is visited from, APEX Flow is used in the browser, it is installed on a device or a video is watched, to know our reach. More in the Cookie Policy.

Necessary
Essential for the site to work (session, sign-in, cookie preference). These can't be turned off.
Functional
Remember how you signed in and which view you were on, so we don't have to ask again.
